Sophie is module leader on the Midwifery MSc (shortened) and BSc programme and has involvement with student recruitment on both programmes.

Sophie is the joint-lead for UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative for the ºüÀêÊÓƵ and was awarded the UNICEF Baby Friendly Leadership Qualification in 2020. Sophie organises the BFI accreditations of the midwifery programmes, as well as organises audits and marketing events such as Breastfeeding Awareness Week.

Sophie is a board member for The Practising Midwife and enjoys writing articles with her most recent publications on topics such as, Oxytocin and the normal physiology of labour and Orgasmic birth. Sophie also completes book reviews as part of this role.

Sophie has recent experience in project work including educational reviews for local Trusts, commissioned by the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS).
