The ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester has been awarded £493,000 to boost its degree apprenticeships offering.

The Office for Students (OfS) funding will allow the ºüÀêÊÓƵ to increase opportunities for people to study for a level 6 apprenticeship and to graduate to success in their chosen health, adult social care or allied health career.

Described in its recent Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) report as “an engine of opportunity – supporting its students to benefit from an educational experience that is personally transformative and allows them to succeed in their chosen career”, the ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester is one of the Country’s leading and largest educators of health professionals.

Working alongside employers, including the NHS, the ºüÀêÊÓƵ has embraced nursing and allied health apprenticeships. Worcester’s apprenticeship courses are enabling individuals to overcome economic and social barriers to secure entry into health care professions, while meeting local, regional, and national employer needs.

These ºüÀêÊÓƵ degree apprenticeships will increasingly form a vital component of the education and training of the nation’s health workforce.
