The event, timed to coincide with the start of the Paris Olympics, pitted teams of local people against one another in a series of fun and interesting challenges, from riding a mechanical ‘rodeo sheep’ to battling it out with gladiator-style pugil sticks, and even ‘welly wanging’!

Teams from Tenbury Wells, Kington, Kidderminster, Rushwick, Ledbury, Worcester, and Powick battled it out in various rounds, with ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester staff on hand to instruct for events including kayaking and archery.

It all took place at Lakeside Campus; a 50-acre site located to the north of Worcester, around a 10-minute drive from St John’s Campus. It’s home to water sports lakes, woodlands, and an outdoor education activity centre.
