Healthcare Careers Advice on Offer at Hereford County Hospital

UW Nursing Students

The event, which will be held on Friday, 25 October, will give staff and visitors to the hospital the chance to meet academic staff from the ºüÀêÊÓƵ, as well as the Education and Recruitment teams from Wye Valley NHS Trust.

There will also be people on hand to advise on areas around finance and admissions to courses.

There’s no need to book, as staff will be on hand between 10am and 2pm at the main entrance foyer of the hospital to answer questions about the content of courses, entry requirements, costs and financing, accommodation and more.

Geoffrey Etule, the Chief People Officer at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “We are delighted to work together with the ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester to showcase the excellent wide range of career and training opportunities available at the ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester, alongside the student placements we can offer locally within our acute and community healthcare services across Herefordshire.”

He continued: “We’re encouraging members of the public interested in a new career in healthcare to come along to the event at Hereford County Hospital to find out what we can offer to support their training and future career at Wye Calley NHS Trust.”

Last year, the ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester welcomed its first ever cohort of Medical and Diagnostic Radiography Students who, in the coming years, will join the growing community of professionals supporting and sustaining our National Health Service.

Professor Sally Moyle, Pro Vice Chancellor, Health and Science at the ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester said: “We’re really excited to come to hospitals across Herefordshire and Worcestershire and we’re looking forward to meeting people who are interested in beginning their journey to a fantastic and rewarding career in healthcare.”

Professor Moyle added: “Whether you’re already working within the sector and are looking to upskill or retrain, or if you’re doing something completely different and will be starting your new career from scratch, we’ll have the right people on hand to chat to and find out more about what the ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Worcester and your local NHS trusts can do for you.”
