Joanne is passionate about both undergraduate and post-graduate nursing development. She has a particular interest in supporting students with specific learning differences and disabilities to reach their full potential. She has a keen interest in the quality of teaching and currently holds the position of the Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery Learning and Teaching and Quality Co-ordinator.
She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, across three local trusts, inclusive of surgical, medical, women’s health and ophthalmology. In addition, Joanne has worked as a Lecturer Practitioner, a role which required working in a variety of clinical settings to support and develop a range of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.
She has worked in Higher Education since 2013, supporting and leading both undergraduate and postgraduate modules, and has previously worked as programme lead for a large BSc Hons nursing programme.
