Naomi qualified as an Occupational Therapist from Bournemouth ºüÀêÊÓƵ in 2016 after many years working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in rural Dorset. Since qualifying, she has worked for Oxford ºüÀêÊÓƵ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust within Neurological Rehabilitation, supporting patients following Stroke or Brain Injury in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as supporting patients with long term neurological conditions. Naomi particularly enjoys vocational rehabilitation, fatigue management and supporting engagement in meaningful activities.

Naomi started with the ºüÀêÊÓƵ in July 2024 and will be teaching on the BSc (Hons) multiprofessional Foundations for Practice module as well as supporting students from all Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy courses on placement.

Qualifications:

  • BSc Occupational Therapy at Bournemouth ºüÀêÊÓƵ
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Neuroscience Care and Rehabilitation at ºüÀêÊÓƵ of Northampton (awaiting final result)
  • Naomi plans to commence her Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Higher Education from January 2025.

Teaching Interests:

Naomi loves teaching all aspects of Occupational Therapy theory and interventions, and how these relate to clinical practice. She has a passion for supporting students to prepare for and get the most from their placements.

Naomi continues to work clinically 1 day per week in Neurological Rehabilitation.
